Structural pipe is what most people use to build their fences, carports, cattle guards and other types of structures.

OCTG is short for “Oilfield Country Tubular Goods” and is pipe used for oil well purposes. The OCTG products are tested to withstand certain pressure and conditions, and will cost more as a direct result.

We visually inspect all pipe we receive and when it comes to structural, we normally separate it into #1 and #2 qualities. The #1 pipe is going to be relatively clean on both the inside and outside, should be free from any holes on the pipe, and relatively easy to cut, weld, and paint. The #2 pipe is going to have some pitting, corrosion from acidity, scale, or some build-up on the inside, or some combination of those issues. During the inspection process, if we feel like the pipe would not make for good building material, we recycle it as scrap metal.

Most people will use either 2 3/8” or 2 7/8” pipe for their fences. The 2 3/8” is a little smaller and easier to handle, but it may not stand up to the heavier duty usage that larger livestock might require. People generally use anywhere from 2 3/8” up to 4 ½” pipe for building cattle guards to not worry about having livestock get out of their property. 

People will use different sizes of our larger pipe, ranging from 6 5/8” all the way up to 36”+ in order to make culverts, drainage areas, smokers, and even feeding troughs.

• 2 7/8” 8-foot posts,
• 3 ½”8-foot posts, and 
• 4 ½” 8-foot posts.

We will happily fulfill any order size that you may need. We started off by selling pipe from our trailers, and we know that sometimes all you need is one more post to finish the job.
